EZ Match, explained
The $1 instant add-on on Florida Lotto and Fantasy 5 doesn't advertise itself much. It should: per dollar, nothing else in the draw-game aisle comes close.
How it works
Add EZ Match to a Florida Lotto or Fantasy 5 play for $1 and your ticket prints a set of extra EZ Match numbers, each with a prize attached. If an EZ Match number matches any of the numbers you played, you win that prize instantly — at the counter, before any drawing happens. It's a scratch-off mechanic smuggled onto a draw ticket.
The number that matters
Sum the official table — every prize times its probability — and the $1 EZ Match add-on returns 78.0¢ per $1. For context, live from our own tables: base Florida Lotto runs 26¢ at the current jackpot, Double Play 71¢, Fireball 60¢, Cash Pop 59–67¢. The quiet little instant add-on beats all of it.
Why would the Lottery price one product this generously? Because EZ Match only exists attached to a base ticket — the 78% add-on is the dessert that sells the 25% entrée.

Yes, you read the middle of that table right: $100 hits more often than $50 (1 in 10,500 vs 1 in 16,800), and $25 is rarer than both $40 and $20. Prize ladders are marketing documents — the mix is tuned for how winning feels, not for tidy ordering. We publish it as-is and sum it as-is.
The honest caveat
78¢ per $1 is still minus 22¢ — the best deal in the aisle is a smaller loss, not a profit. And you can't buy EZ Match alone: the $1 add-on rides on a $1–$2 base play returning far less, so a "Lotto + EZ Match" ticket blends out well under 78%. If you're buying the base ticket anyway, EZ Match is the strongest dollar you can attach to it. That's the whole claim.
